Please consider a contribution to the Matt Harnett Scholarship Fund:

This Fund was established in memory of Matt Harnett, an active and long-time member of VTACDL who sadly passed away on November 19, 2012. He was 54 years old. Matt was a partner in the law firm of Lorentz, Lorentz and Harnett in Rutland. He was a zealous advocate committed to his clients, and one of the best trial lawyers in Vermont. Matt was also committed to the education and development of new attorneys. He relished the opportunity to work with new attorneys at the Green Mountain Criminal Defense Institute's Mini-Trial School and was always willing to take calls and brainstorm or troubleshoot cases with other attorneys. VTACDL has established the Matt Harnett Scholarship Fund in his memory to raise funds to support scholarships for defense attorneys to attend continuing legal education programs to improve their skills.

We hope you will make a contribution in Matt’s memory to this important endeavor. Contributions can be made payable to VTACDL and can be paid as a separate check or added to the amount of your dues renewal.
